The new operating hours will begin June 7th and are 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (noon).
City Manager Cody Petree, along with the Roanoke Human Resources team, made operating hours recommendations to Council after several months of research. That research included tallying the results of an internal employee survey, and compiling the information collected from other municipalities with similar schedules. The City aims to best serve both our staff and community. The goal is to continue to offer Monday-Friday customer service at city hall while also allowing city hall staff to try an alternative work schedule.
