ROANOKE – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin construction on US Highway 377 (US 377) in Denton County from Henrietta Creek Road to north of Business State Highway 114 (Business 114).
The improvement project will reconstruct and widen US 377 from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane urban divided roadway with raised medians and sidewalks. Dedicated left-turn lanes will be constructed at several signalized intersections within the project limits. Retaining walls and a new railroad bridge will also be constructed at Business 114.
Austin Bridge and Road Services, L.P. is the contractor for the $33.7 million project. Construction will begin this month and is expected to be complete late 2023, weather permitting. Message boards have been placed to alert drivers of upcoming construction activities.
