In response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the City of Roanoke City Council and the Roanoke Economic and Industrial Development Corporation, Type A, authorized a Stimulus Program to assist businesses negatively affected by the pandemic. The Stimulus Program is a local economic development program to help reduce the resulting economic strain on local businesses. Phase 1 of the Stimulus program was completed on June 30, 2020. The results from this program included $147,000.00 being distributed to 63 qualified Roanoke businesses.
Phase 2 of the Stimulus Program is now underway and will launch October 23, 2020. In this phase, two methods of economic stimulus are planned. The program will direct spending opportunities to Roanoke residents as well as the 76262 communities via two sources:

Start your shopping adventure at Roanoke City Hall to redeem your tickets, pick up your tote bag and first gift, enter into the prize raffle and sip and snack on delicious treats! Each location on the event map will have a free gift for the ticket holders to pick up as they shop! All event proceeds benefit the Roanoke VFW Post 5074!
Shopping Vouchers for Roanoke Residents
Roanoke residents can support local businesses in Roanoke with a new program that will definitely help our small businesses thrive! Residents can download a $50 shopping voucher that can be redeemed at participating stores or restaurants across Roanoke. Vouchers will be available for download on October 23rd.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Shopping vouchers cannot be redeemed for lottery tickets, alcohol, cigarettes, vaping products, gasoline, or gift cards.
