The Roanoke Fire Department is a proud participating member of the Northeast Fire Department Association (NEFDA).

Membership

NEFDA is a coalition of 14-member fire departments that have combined resources to provide services to our residents at a level only seen in the largest of cities. Roanoke, the newest member city of NEFDA, joined the group in 2002.

Response Vehicles

NEFDA received a federal grant in 2004 that allowed the group to purchase an array of specialized vehicles and equipment and to provide the technical training necessary to the meet needs of the public. This is a list of the response vehicles and the host cities where they are located.
